Diabetes is a serious disease, but if you understand it, and if you are diligent in treating it, you can live a long, active, normal life.
On this website I will explain in layman's terms what you need to do to care for your type 2 diabetes.
For as long as I have been a diabetes educator and even before that, the focus of treating diabetes has focused on nutrition, modifying what the person with diabetes is eating. Although very important, there is far more to successfully managing diabetes than food selection and reduced serving sizes.
The most important thing I have to tell you about controling your type 2 diabetes is that you need to move, to exercise. Working in a clinical setting with type 2 diabetes patients for 15 years, I have seen proof again and again that when type 2 diabetes patients change their lifestyle from sedentary to active, drastic health improvements are routine.
I will provide much helpful information here, and even more - much more - is available in my book
Prescription for Type 2 Diabetes: Exercise.
